The story started on 9th October 2012, between St Jean de Maurienne and Modane, on a TGV train between Paris and Milan. EU blogger Jon Worth was so annoyed at French police border ‘checks’ that he wrote about his experience, and started to take up the matter with the European Commission. All his posts about Schengen can be found here. More similar experiences at other borders followed. Then other people joined in, telling their stories – on blogs, on Facebook and on Twitter. This site has been launched as a result of this collection of user experience.

The site is run by Jon in his free time, and the tech is a bit patchy, but should just about work! If you can help with the project please contact us!
